A town of over 9,000 people, Newport is located on the central coast of Oregon.  Newport is home to the West Coast's largest Commercial fishing fleet and also offers fresh seafood markets that coexist with galleries, gift shops, restaurants and family attractions.  Across the bay is the acclaimed Oregon Coast Aquarium and Hatfield Marine Science Center.  Located within the area are 2 lighthouses, museums, and wide sandy beaches.

Oregon Coast Aquarium
The Oregon Coast Aquarium is the states largest indoor exhibit.  A slice of Oregon's rugged coastline, reproduced on the shores of Newport's Yaquina Bay.  Presenting more than 190 animal species that thrive in the unique habitats found where the Pacific Ocean meets the Oregon shores.

Hatfield Marine Science Center
The Oregon State University’s Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) is a research and teaching facility.  The HMSC is involved in programs of marine and estuarine research and instructions for far-ranging oceanographic studies, and as a classroom for students.

Marine Discovery Tours
Located in Newport, Oregon, they are the coastal leader in narrated bay and ocean tours specializing in whales, along with sea and shore wildlife.

Newport Visual Arts Center
The Newport Visual Arts Center is a facility for the exhibition of public art and art education programs.  All exhibitions are free and open to the public.  The Visual Arts Center also offers classes, workshops, and community events.                       

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse
The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse is the oldest building in Newport and the second oldest lighthouse in the state of Oregon.  Once decommissioned, it is now back in working condition and performing is duties as lighthouse.
